Fire hits workers' quarter at Mt Carmel Church in QC

A fire of undetermined origin damaged a portion of the Mt. Carmel Church in New Manila in Quezon City early Thursday morning. No one was initially reported injured in the fire, which started shortly after 8 a.m., radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported. The dzBB report said the fire damaged a part of the caretakers' quarters. Arson investigators were still looking into what caused the fire. Volunteer firefighter group TXTFire indicated the fire started at the church in Mariana village in New Manila. The fire reached the first alarm but was placed under control, and then put out at about 8:30 a.m. — LBG, GMA News
