Parts of Parañaque and Pasay cities may experience water service interruptions from Thursday night to Friday night due to upgrade work on the pipe network by water concessionaire Maynilad Water. In an advisory, Maynilad said the service improvement project will take place from 10 p.m. Thursday until 11 p.m. Friday. Areas where water services may be interrupted include:
Barangay Baclaran, portion of Barangay Tambo from T. Claudio St. to MIA Road, and areas along Airport Road in Parañaque City; Barangay Malibay, portion of Don Carlos Revilla, area along Electrical Road corner Airport Road, and portion of Maricaban in Pasay City. Maynilad advised customers in these areas to store enough water for the duration of the service improvement project. They may also call the Maynilad Hotline 1626 for updates and additional information. Maynilad said the upgrade works include: interconnection of a new 600mm pipe along GG Cruz in Parañaque City, and along Airport Road corner Domestic Road and Aurora Boulevard corner Andrews Avenue in Pasay City; the decommissioning of the 400mm pipe along Quirino Avenue in Parañaque City - CCTV investigation of the line along Aurora Boulevard corner Andrews Avenue in Pasay City; "This activity is expected to benefit Maynilad customers, specifically to improve water pressure in parts of Parañaque and Pasay aside from efficiently managing the water supply in the West zone," Maynilad said. — KBK, GMA News
