Jail warden sacked as inmate sent on errand escapes

A Pasig City warden was sacked after an inmate, sent outside the jail for an errand, escaped on Wednesday night. According to a report of radio dzBB on Friday, City jail warden Superintendent Arnold Buenacosa was removed from his post for the escape of Arnel Francisco. The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) assigned Senior Superintendent Hernan Grande to replace Buenacosa. The initial investigation showed that Francisco, who faces robbery charges, was sent out on an errand by Jail Officer 1 Ronnie Abugabie. Francisco did not return to the jail and is now the subject of a manhunt. The jail personnel on duty at the time of the escape were also ordered disarmed and relieved from his post. - VVP, GMA News
