Bulacan cop in hot water for fatal shooting incident

A policeman in Bulacan province is in hot water after reportedly shooting dead a resident while he was drunk shortly after midnight Thursday. The policeman, initially identified as PO2 Arcadio dela Cruz, faces charges for shooting dead Francisco Garcia with his service firearm. Dela Cruz surrendered to the local precinct in San Miguel town in Bulacan after the shooting, radio dzBB's Paulo Santos reported. Initial investigation showed the shooting occurred after midnight when a drunk Dela Cruz shot Garcia six times. Garcia died on the spot, the report said.
