Pinay, 3 others sentenced to jail for running brothel in UAE

A Filipina and four others were meted jail terms by a United Arab Emirates court for running a brothel in an apartment in the Muraqqabat area. According to a report of Khaleej Times, the court sentenced the Filipina, 45, to six months in jail for helping an Emirati housewife, 48, run the brothel. On the other hand, the Emirati housewife and a Syrian accountant, 60, were sentenced to to nine months in prison. An Ethiopian maid was ordered jailed for six months for engaging in prostitution. Meanwhile, an Iranian visitor was sentenced to three months in prison for having illicit consensual sex. Khaleej Times said the court also ordered the expatriate defendants deported after serving their jail terms. - VVP, GMA News
