Report: 2 killed in Cavite mall robbery incident

At least two people were reported killed and one wounded in a robbery at a mall in Dasmariñas town in Cavite province Saturday morning. The incident occurred at the Robinson's Place mall at 10 a.m., according to a report on radio dzXL. Cavite police head Superintendent John Bulalacao identified the fatalities as security guard Nelo Kinabandao and bank teller Rey Tingco.
The dzXL report said five armed men held up the bank employees, who at the time were delivering P5 million to a money changer shop. But the report also said police believe some of the suspects were wounded while trying to flee. Police are looking for other leads in the incident, the report said. — LBG, GMA News
