TV technician jailed for molesting Pinay in UAE

A Bangladeshi television technician was sentenced to six months in jail on Sunday for molesting a Filipino housewife in her house in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in August this year. The news site Khaleej Times reported Monday that the court ordered the 30-year-old Bangladeshi to be deported after serving his jail term. The report said the defendant admitted in the investigation by the Public Prosecution that he hugged and groped the 29-year-old Filipina from behind, against her will. Prosecution records showed that the incident occurred when the technician was called to install a television set on the wall. On August 18 this year, as he was about to start his work, the technician reportedly asked the woman to close the door so as not to disturb the neighbors. After fixing the TV set, he asked her to try it out, but surprised her as he came from behind, groped and fondled her. Khaleej Times said the shocked the woman yelled at him and pushed him out of the house. The technician became afraid and asked her to forgive him. The woman then lodged a complaint with the Al Qusais police station. - VVP, GMA News
