Brother tagged in shooting of Pangasinan police chief surrenders

The brother tagged in the fatal shooting of a police chief of a Pangasinan town and his wife on Sunday has surrendered to authorities, a report or radio dzBB said on Monday. Radio dzBB's Benjie Liwanag Jr. said Lyndon Millan had been the subject of a dragnet for the killing of his brother, Superintendent Lloyd Millan, chief of police of Bayambang town in Pangasinan, and his wife Cherryl. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the incident occurred at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. The initial investigation showed that Lyndon, 41, used an M-16 rifle and a cal-.45 pistol to shoot his own brother Lloyd, 39. The two reportedly had a dispute over land. Cherryl, 34, reportedly tried to protect her husband as he was shot in the head and other parts of the body. However, Cherryl herself was killed after being shot. A separate report on Bombo Radyo said Lyndon, an employee of the Alaminos City Hall, surrendered to the Alaminos City police station at around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Alaminos police head Superintendent Rolly Saltat brought him to Alaminos City Mayor Hernani Braganza. - VVP, GMA News
