Filipino job fair set in UAE Nov. 11


Some 600 jobs from 25 firms in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be up for grabs on November 11 at a job fair organized by Filipinos there, a Gulf News report said. The Filipino Human Resources Practitioners Association-UAE (Fil-HR), a group of more than 100 hiring professionals, will hold the fair at the Al Safa Sports Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Its third job fair is part of its ongoing effort to connect jobseekers to employers, news site Gulf News reported on Saturday (). According to the Gulf News report, job applicants must prepare at least three curriculum vitaes on that day. They will also be asked to register their personal information. The Gulf News report said the July 2011 Antal Global Snapshot, a regular survey of hiring and firing trends of the world’s most important employment markets, showed the UAE’s hiring levels have risen to the highest percentages for a year. The trend continues to rise as more and more employers intend to hire managerial and professional staff in the next quarter. - VVP, GMA News
