Cops tracking down suspects in provincial official's murder

The police in Mindanao are now tracking down at least two suspects who gunned down a member of the provincial council of Surigao del Sur in Bislig City on Sunday, a report of radio dzBB said. Two motorcycle-riding men gunned down Rafael Binuya, 58, as he stepped out of the St. Joseph the Worker church, radio dzBB said on Monday. Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said they are gathering leads on the incident, the report added. Viduya represents the province's second district, radio dzBB said. The initial investigation showed that the gunmen sped off after the shooting. - VVP, GMA News
