Rebels rob ex-RAM leader's house in Bukidnon

Suspected communist rebels on Monday barged into the house of retired Col. Alexander Noble in Bukidnon province and took away cash and several firearms, a police report said. Noble was a ranking leader of the Rebolusyonaryong Alyansang Makabansa (RAM), a cabal of military officers that attempted to seize power during the Cory Aquino presidency. The police report said more or less 30 suspects, two of them female, ransacked and robbed Noble's house at Sitio Gata in Barangay Sayawan, Impasugong town at around 5:30 a.m. The suspects were able to cart away cash amounting to P4,000, a shotgun, two cal .38 revolvers and a cellphone. The report did not state if Noble was at home during the incident. A pursuit operation has been conducted to catch the suspects, the report said. — KBK, GMA News
