Local Apple store stages 'Arcadium' tourney anew

After the initial success of its app arcade tournament dubbed Arcadium, Apple retailer Power Mac Center (PMC) has brought back the contest – now with bigger prizes and more games to be played in a wider variety of Apple devices.   Some of the new games are Scrabble, NBA Jam, and Uberstrike HD which all can be played on the iMac, iPad or iPod touch. This year’s Arcadium are contest prizes with tournament champions taking home an iPad and accessories from Klipsch, Belkin, Otterbox, Logitech, Sandisk, and Divoom. Power Mac Center marketing manager Joey Alvarez said, “Power Mac Center’s app arcade tournament is our way of showing especially our younger game-loving customers that Apple products are all about fun and enjoyment shared with friends and acquaintances.” Tournament dates are as follows: NBA Jam, Nov. 5-6, PMC TriNoma; Scrabble, Nov. 12-13, PMC Greenbelt 3; and Uberstrike HD, Nov. 19-20 at PMC SM Mall of Asia.
