AFP, PNP prepare for free screening of Pacquiao-Marquez bout


The Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police will have a free screening of the bout between boxing icon and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez this Sunday. But the screening will be restricted to the employees and uniformed personnel of the military and police, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported Wednesday. At AFP headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, the AFP started setting up a big screen at the grandstand area for the free screening, the report said. Preparations were also made for a free screening at the AFP's V. Luna Hospital in Quezon City. Meanwhile, at PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, the PNP also prepared for a free screening of the bout for police personnel and employees and their families. The Pacquiao-Marquez bout will be held in Las Vegas on Sunday (Manila time). — LBG, GMA News
