2 suspected robbers killed in predawn encounter in Manila

Two suspects linked to motorcycle robberies were shot dead in a reported encounter with police in Manila before dawn Wednesday. Police said both suspects were linked to a series of "riding-in-tandem" robberies, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported. Wednesday's incident occurred along Lerma Street near the underpass along Quezon Boulevard near the city's Quiapo district.
