Ram's girlfriend Janelle resorts to poetry to cope with pain

Janelle Manahan, who is still confined at a hospital due to the gunshot wounds she suffered last Oct. 28, has resorted to poetry to cope with what happened to her and her boyfriend, slain actor Ramgen "Ram" Revilla.

Five days after she and her boyfriend Ram were attacked, Janelle, confined at a hospital, asked for a pen and paper and wrote a poem. That time, she was still clueless that Ram was dead. Ian Cruz
According to Janelle's father, Julius, his daughter asked for pen and paper last Nov. 2 — five days after she and Ram were attacked inside Ram's house in Parañaque — and scribbled for 15 minutes. That time, Janelle, who suffered gunshot wounds to the side of her face and to her shoulder, did not know that Ram was killed in the attack. "[She was] staring for a while... after a while nakita ko nagi-scribble na siya," Julius said in an exclusive interview by Ian Cruz aired on GMA News' "24 Oras" on Wednesday. In her poem, Janelle talks of something she "wanna say so bad." "But what's the point," she writes. "When there's no UNDO button/ To make this all alright."
Janelle Manahan's poem
Some changes some -- Different -- different settings My days and nights has been like this Thinking what could have been done differently so none of these exist I wanna say. I wanna say so bad But what's the point When there's no UNDO button To make this all alright
Julius also told Cruz that the day after Janelle wrote the poem, she dreamed of Ram. In her dream, she and Ram were reportedly cruising together in a car. "Sabi niya (Janelle) nagda-drive daw sila, ang sabi daw sa kanya [ni Ram], 'Janelle, ang swerte mo binigyan ka ng second chance to live'," Julius said. Janelle underwent surgery Tuesday to fix the damage caused by the bullet on her face. She is now on stable condition and recuperating well although she is not allowed to talk for six to eight weeks, the "24 Oras" report said. "Pinipilit siyang mag-take in ng more fluids, tapos in-explain sa kanya na hwag hihina ang loob... OK naman lahat," Julius said on his daughter's condition. Implicated in the crime are two of Ram's siblings, Ramona and RJ Bautista. The three are half-siblings of Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. Their father, Ramon Revilla Sr., is a former senator. - KBK, GMA News
