800 Pinoys join 'embassy on wheels' outreach in Saudi Arabia


Some 800 Filipinos in Jubail in Saudi Arabia availed of services from the Philippine Embassy's "Embassy on Wheels" consular outreach program there from September 14 to 16. The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh said the consular services were held at the Global Tamimi Camp 2 in Jubail. "The Consular team served around 800 Filipinos, bringing the electronic passport (ePassport) to another Saudi city which is almost 480 kilometers from Riyadh," the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said. Philippine Ambassador-designate Ezzedin Tago thanked the community leaders and volunteers in Jubail who helped the Consular team. Led by Consul Mohd. Noordin Pendosina Noor Lomondot, the consular team rendered the following services:

  • encoded 685 ePassport applications
  • processed 57 notarials, two authentication, 11 reports of birth, and 73 passports amendments/extension. The DFA said the next "Embassy on Wheels" will be in Dammam, Eastern Region on September 29 and 30 at the Aljazeera International School in Dammam, Eastern Region. - VVP, GMA News
