Suspect: Whole Bautista household knew of plan to kill Ramgen

If one of the suspects is to be believed, the family of slain actor Ramgen "Ram" Revilla — even their driver and household helpers — knew of the plan to kill him, according to a report by Saleema Refran on GMA News' "24 Oras" Thursday night. In his sworn affidavit, Michael Jay Nartea said he was told by one Alias Bryan that only Revilla's personal assistant, Ronald Ancajas, was left out of the plan, the report said. "Huwag kayo mag-alala. Wala na kayo iintindihin dito. Lahat ng tao sa bahay alam na itutumba si Ramgen. Ang nanay niya, mga kapatid, Lolo Amang, mga katulong at driver. Iisa lang ang kalaban natin diyan, yung PA ni Ramgen," Nartea quoted Alias Bryan as saying in his affidavit. It was not clear who Alias Bryan and Lolo Amang were. The report quoted a member of the family as saying that they are shocked with Nartea's claim, and that they will bring the matter to their lawyer.

Two of Revilla's siblings, Ramona and Ramon Joseph "RJ" Bautista, have been named principal suspects in the killing. The three are half-siblings of Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. Their father is Ramon Revilla Sr., a former senator. Revilla, 23, was shot and stabbed inside his Parañaque City home last Oct. 28. His girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, was also shot but survived and is now recuperating at a hospital. Ramona, 22, fled the country days after the attack while RJ, 18, is now in police custody. Their mother, Genelyn Magsaysay, has denied that her children would resort to killing each other to settle their differences. Ancajas had earlier said that Revilla was not on speaking terms with Ramona and RJ over money issues before he was killed. Nartea said he and another suspect, Roy Francis Tolisora, were hired to kill Revilla, but they backed out when they learned that the victim was a member of the Revilla clan. Both Nartea and Tolisora, in their separate affidavits, implicated Ramona and RJ in the crime. The police, however, said it is "validating" the suspects' claims and searching for evidence that could support the accusation. "Basta bina-validate namin yung statement na iyan, na binigay ng mga suspects, at aming pinag-aaralan, binubusisi namin kung meron pang maidadagdag na ebidensiya sa kaso ng mga suspek sa Ramgen [case] at kung meron pang mga suspek na dapat sampahan ng demanda," said Chief Inspector Enrique Sy, head of the police task force formed to solve the case. - KBK, GMA News
