Police: 3 killed, 3 hurt as multicab crashes into group in Cagayan de Oro

At least three people were reported killed while three others were injured after a multicab crashed into a group of people in Cagayan de Oro City before dawn Friday. City police chief Senior Superintendent Gerardo Rosales cited sketchy initial reports indicating the incident occurred at 3 a.m. in Cugman village. "Sketchy reports reaching us showed at around 3 a.m., the multicab minivan crashed into a group of people. Three were killed while three were hurt," he said in an interview on dzBB radio. He initially identified two of the fatalities as Carlito Moga of Manolo Fortich in Bukidnon; and Rommel Akyatan. Rosales said it was still not clear what caused the vehicle to crash into the crowd. "For now we can only presume the two fatalities were among those the vehicle hit," he said. — LBG, GMA News
