Fires hit Marikina, Parañaque

Fires of undetermined origin hit a residential area in Marikina City and a building near a freight company compound in Parañaque City before noon Friday. There was no initial report of casualties, even as traffic was slowed in the areas near both fires, radio dzBB reported. In Marikina City, dzBB's Glen Juego reported a fire hit a residential area in Nangka village in Marikina. The fire started at 11:20 a.m. and reached the fourth alarm. On the other hand, in Parañaque City, dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported the fire at a building along Bonifacio Extension in San Dionisio village threatened a freight compound.
