Spray plane crashes in Compostela Valley, pilot survives


A plane used to spray pesticide on a banana plantation crashed after experiencing engine trouble in Compostela Valley Friday. But police said the pilot of the plane survived the crash, according to a report by radio dzBB's Benjie Liwanag Jr. The report said the plane, owned by Mactan Aviation Co., was flying over Purok 6, Lagab village in Compostela Valley when it encountered engine trouble. While the plane crashed into a field, the pilot managed to escape relatively unhurt, the report said. The report did not immediately identify the pilot. — RSJ, GMA News
