Genelyn: My kids and I were in Baguio the day Ramgen died

Absence from the crime scene is Genelyn Magsaysay’s defense against an allegation from a suspect in the killing of her eldest son that she and her other brood planned the attack on Ramgen Revilla. Magsaysay said in an interview with GMA News' Julius Segovia that she and some of her kids were in Baguio City to visit her son Ramon Joshua, a first year cadet at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA). “Lalo lang nila pinalalaki ang isyu. Kanino nanggagaling ang impormasyon?" she said. Magsaysay also said Ramon Joshua will ask PMA officials to allow him to go home so he can be with his family. “We’re trying to pick-up the pieces…I still have eight children…so I have to face the situation…I know the Lord will help us pick up the pieces."

Three of her youngest kids are still in grade school. She said the youngsters are considering withdrawing from regular classes and going into a home study program instead. "Takot silang ma-bully sa school," Magsaysay said. She said they will not reside again in the Parañaque house where Ramgen was killed. They are staying in homes of family friends. "For our protection, nakikitulog muna sa mga friends. Hiwa-hiwalay muna in the meantime," she revealed. Genelyn Magsaysay was also interviewed on GMA News' State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.
Magsaysay confirmed that Mara is with her husband and that she (Genelyn) was able to talk with him on the phone for a while. He assured her that Mara is okay. — ELR/HS, GMA News
