Man calls 911 to report broken iPhone

A resident in Illinois in the United States was arrested after calling the emergency number 911 five times to complain that his iPhone would not work. Police arrested Michael Alan Skopec, 48, after he called to complain about the smartphone, according to a report on The Smoking Gun website. The article cited a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report saying police traced the calls to Skopec’s home, and arrested him when he “refused to comply with orders from deputies." Skopec was charged with obstructing or resisting a peace officer, a misdemeanor, the report said. Also, the article said deputies reported Skopec was intoxicated when they arrived at his residence. While Skopec was released on his own recognizance, he is next due in court on November 18. — TJD, GMA News
