PNoy eyes two Cabinet members in reshuffle

President Benigno Aquino III revealed on Tuesday that one or two members of his Cabinet will be reshuffled, but did not name who are set to be replaced. In a GMA News’ “24 Oras" broadcast Tuesday, Aquino was shown making the statement before returning to the country from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Week in Honolulu, Hawaii. The President clarified that the impending reshuffle would not be because someone had not been performing but rather, “there is a need [to find] somebody as capable or more capable to put in." He also did not say when the reshuffling would take place.
Aquino added that a lot of Cabinet members have been working very well. He praised Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario and Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo. The President also reiterated support for Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, a controversial figure for first not allowing former president Gloria Arroyo to travel abroad and later ordering Immigration and airport authorities to disallow Arroyo and her husband, Jose Miguel, from leaving the country. — MRT/ELR, GMA News
