CebuPac cancels 4 flights due to bad weather

Citing bad weather, air carrier Cebu Pacific on Wednesday canceled four flights with destinations in Northern Luzon. In an announcement on its Facebook page, Cebu Pacific said the canceled flights included:

  • 5J-504 and 5J-505: Manila to Tuguegarao and back
  • 5J-196 and 5J-197: Manila to Cauayan and back
"Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights. You may also rebook within 30 days of cancellation or Travel Fund without penalties," it said. It added the cancellation was due to "top priority" in passengers' safety. Earlier, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned of possible flash floods and landslides in Northern Luzon as a potential cyclone – a low-pressure area - moved west of Palawan before noon Wednesday. In its 10:30 a.m. update, PAGASA said the LPA was estimated at 440 km west of Coron, Palawan as of 8 a.m. Also, PAGASA noted a wind convergence affecting northern Luzon. "Wind convergence will bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms over Northern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides," it said. — LBG, GMA News
