Iligan City cops recover stolen luxury vehicle
ILIGAN CITY — The city's Highway Patrol Group recovered a luxury vehicle at a checkpoint along the National Highway Barangay Buru-un, Iligan City last Monday, a belated police report said. HPG Chief P/Inspector Ebra Rajah said a Mitsubishi Adventure Wagon (ZKX-906), driven by a certain Abdulhalim Maruhom Monadi of Riverside Tala Caloocan City, was flagged down by authorities after noticing its plate number was in the list of stolen vehicles. A Further investigation showed the vehicle was stolen from its owner, a certain Christin A. Salvaguadis, residing at 18 Margarita St. Gulod Proper, Novaliches, Quezon City. The vehicle – with alarm number 2009-1216-198; Motor number, 4D56AAA5535; Chassis number, PAEVB5NJI7BO11093 – was forcibly taken last May 5, 2009 at around 3:45 p.m. at Novaliches General Hospital along Quirino Highway in Novaliches, Quezon City, the report said. A check with the Land Transportation Office showed the vehicle had red paint when it was stolen. Rajah said the recovery of Mitsubishi Adventure was the eight in the city within the year.
