PNoy leaves for Bali to attend ASEAN summit

President Benigno Aquino III left Manila Thursday morning to attend the 19th Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) Summit in Bali, Indonesia. He left shortly after 8 a.m. on a chartered flight from Villamor Airbase. Aquino was supposed to leave the country Wednesday afternoon but decided to defer it to monitor the effort of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to go abroad. He is expected to return to the Philippines on Saturday. Among those who sent off the President were Vice President Jejomar Binay, Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, Presidential Peace Process Adviser Teresita Deles and Presidential Communications Operations Office head Herminio Coloma Jr. Also present were Justice Secretary Leila de Lima and Commission on Higher Education head Patricia Licuanan. — LBG, GMA News
