Passenger bus catches fire on EDSA

The already slow traffic on Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) was further disrupted after a passenger bus caught fire along a portion of the busy highway Saturday. No one was reported injured in the incident as the passengers had managed to get out of the bus, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported. The incident occurred near the Santolan flyover across the headquarters of the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines. Firefighting teams managed to address the problem quickly, the report said. Still, traffic was extremely slow on the southbound part of EDSA from Quezon Avenue to Ortigas, especially due to reblocking operations on Connecticut Street. — LBG, GMA News
