Two teenage girls among six holdup suspects arrested in Bataan

BALANGA CITY Bataan- The Bataan Police Provincial Office on Wednesday said two 16-year old girls were among the six suspects arrested for the robbery staged inside a passenger bus in Abucay, Bataan on Monday. The suspects arrested on Tuesday were Judy Soriano alias Sabog, 19; Rone Ocampo alias Mac, 18; John Lester Adraneda alias Danglo, 18, and Dennis Baluyot, 40; all of Laon, Abucay, Bataan.   On Wednesday, the police apprehended two girls, both aged 16, of Puerto Rivas, Balanga City.   The police said they were positively identified by robbery victims. Two complainants, young students, alleged that the two girls pretended to be boys wearing men’s clothes and caps.   The suspects were all brought to the police provincial office in Camp Tolentino, Balanga City for investigation and documentation. A Genesis bus with 10 passengers left its terminal in Balanga City bound for Manila at about 7:30 p.m. when the suspects, pretending to be passengers, flagged it near a gasoline station along the Roman Superhighway in Balanga.   Some meters away, in Gabon, Abucay town, the suspects declared the hold-up and divested some passengers, the bus conductor and the driver of cellphones and still undetermined amount of cash.   The police said the highway robbery took only a few minutes. The suspects then alighted from the bus along the superhighway and ran away to hide.   Senior Supt. Arnold Gunnacao, Bataan police director, congratulated members of the police  Provincial Intelligence Bureau  and Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Branch under Supt. Allan Macapagal and the Abucay Municipal Police Station.   “We have to stop robberies common during the Christmas season and we are proud to announce that in just a few hours, the hold-up/highway robbery of the bus was solved,” the police director said. - VVP, GMA News
