Militants stage lightning protest at oil firm's Makati City office

Some 40 members of a militant group staged a lightning rally near the office of an oil company in Makati City Thursday morning.

 

No violent confrontation was reported between the militants and security personnel at Shell Philippines, radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad reported.

 

The report said the militants chanted slogans protesting the high prices of fuel, but were largely ignored by security personnel.

 

The protesters left peacefully after a few minutes, the report said. — LBG, GMA News
