Ex-PBA cager Babilonia passes away


Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Vigildo 'Gido' Babilonia has died due to cardiac arrest, his family announced Sunday. According to a DZBB report, Babilonia passed away around 4 a.m. Sunday at the Medical City Hospital in Pasig. Babilonia’s brother, Lito, said the former cager was hospitalized two days ago after complaining of chest pain. Babilonia, 40, was an assistant coach for the University of the East Warriors in the UAAP. He starred for the UST Growling Tigers in the '90s before playing ten seasons in the PBA for Purefoods, Shell, and Pepsi. - GMANews.TV
