UNO completes senatorial slate with Villar, Trillanes


The United Opposition finally completed its 12-man senatorial slate, radio dzBB reported Sunday afternoon. Three of the opposition candidates are former senators Loren Legarda, Anna Dominique "Nikki" Coseteng and John Osmeña. Another three are reelectionist senators Manuel Villar, Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan. Three others are House members Sorsogon Rep. Francis Escudero and Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano and Tarlac Rep. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino. The last three candidates are Sonia Roco, widow of former senator Raul Roco, Navy Lt. SG Antonio Trillanes of the Magdalo group and lawyer Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel. Bukidnon Rep. Teofisto "TG" Guingona III who was earlier reported joining the opposition was not included in the list. UNO's campaign manager is San Juan Mayor Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito. Its spokesman is lawyer Adel Tamano, the son of former senator Mamintal Tamano. Adel is an assistant lecturer at the Institute of Law in Far Eastern University and a partner in Kapunan Tamano Villadolid & Associates law office. -GMANews.TV
