Colleagues talk about Ara Mina

With nine years of "Bubble Gang" under her belt, Ara Mina has been on the show the longest of all the "Bubble Gang" Girls. After establishing herself as dramatic actress and becoming the fantasy of men everywhere, it came as a surprise that Ara would become part of a gag show. But those days of doubt are long gone. Ara Mina has already proven her worth as a comedienne just as she has proven herself in her dramatic roles. But who is Ara once the cameras have stopped rolling? On the set of Bubble Gang, we asked some of her co-stars just who Ara Mina is to them. “Siya yung takbuhan namin for serious acting," Michael V. reveals. “I think she really deserved that Best Actress award she won, and it’s working for us!" Bitoy also shares that before Ara, it was Aiko Melendez who was their go-to person for serious acting. “Siya yung ginagamit namin (as) our peg for reality. Kasi kaming mga guys, kami na yung nagpapatawa, so to keep the situation real you need the actors na makakapag-dish out ng ganun klaseng acting." “Ara Mina fits the bill perfectly," he proclaims. Meanwhile, Antonio Aquitania has this to say, “Si Ara (ang) isa sa pinakamabait na kumare ko. Lahat sila mabait, pero si Ara bigyan mo lang yan ng rice atsaka ulam mabait na yan." “Ara will not live without rice," Maureen Larazabal says, agreeing with Antonio’s last statement. “Mamamatay si Ara Mina (kapag) walang rice." “Si Ara, mabait. Hindi (siya) nakakalimot," Francine Prieto shares. She tells us that whenever Ara goes out of the country, she always buys a pasalubong to give to them. “Basta may little something siya para sa amin lahat." But Ara’s kindness doesn’t just extend to her cast mates and their families. Just last February 3rd, Ara held a concert that benefited a child with lung cancer, as well as other children afflicted with Down’s syndrome. “As a person, sobrang mabait siya," Wendell exclaims. “Kunwari may mga special gatherings, kapag ipapatawag siya, kusa siya pupunta." Wendell has more to say about Ara, “Bungisngis yan e, kunwari sweet-sweet yan pero kung tumawa ‘yan dirediretso na yan!" He also shares that Ara is never picky with them, “Kung saan namin gusto kumain, okay sa kanya." “Kaya niyang mag-multi-tasking! Palagi siyang nasa phone," Maureen adds. “Hindi siya mawawalan ng bagong balita! Lagi ‘yan may balita, atsaka marami siyang food palagi na sine-share niya sa amin." “Very close kami nila Ara before," Wendell tells us. “Kaso ngayon meron na siyang love life niya so kailangan (nila) ng quality time." But to us, with or without a love life, Ara will always belong to Bubble Gang as part of its family. - iGMA.tv
