Survivors of GMA-7's 'StarStruck' revealed

The Final 6 Survivors of StarStruck The Next Level were finally announced last night, March 11, during the final elimination of the reality-based artista search of GMA-7. Those who made the final cut were Aljur Abrenica of Pampanga, Kris Bernal of Quezon City, Prince Stefan of Iloilo, Jewel Mische of Bulacan, Mart Escudero of Cavite, and Rich Asuncion of Bohol. Meanwhile, early favorites Paulo Avelino of Baguio and Stef Prescott of La Union were eliminated. The combined scores of the Council (Louie Ignacio, Lorna Tolentino, and Douglas Quijano) and the text and online votes of the viewers determine the outcome of the competition. According to the Council, the competition among the eight survivors was very tough and their scores were very close. Direk Louie, who monitors the "attitude box," was all praises for the Danger 8 and said that he had a hard time choosing his Final 6. The Final 6 will compete in the Final Showdown to be held on March 25 at the Marikina Sports Complex. Aljur, Prince, and Mart will compete for the Ultimate Hunk title while Kris, Jewel, and Rich will battle it out for the Ultimate Sweetheart title. A pair, on the other hand, will be named Ultimate Loveteam.
