'One Ayala' card launched for overseas Pinoys


Three subsidiaries of Ayala Corp., the country's largest conglomerate, launched on Thursday "One Ayala" Card, which will serve overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) as a banking, rewards and a privilege card. Filipinos abroad can obtain the card after their first transaction from any of the three companies -Ayala Land, Bank of the Philippine Islands and Globe Telecom. These transactions can be in the nature of a purchase of real estate property from Ayala Land; sending a remittance or opening a remittance account with BPI; or making a transaction using Globe Kababayan's G-cash remittance or International AutoLoadMAX service available at participating outlets worldwide. The card will be distributed in the US, Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asian countries. Fernando Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Corp. vice chairman, president and COO, noted that 40 percent of Ayala Land's sales came from Filipinos with addresses outside the Philippines; BPI had captured P2.8 billion in remittances while Globe earned a total of P446 million from inbound and outbound reload volumes. - GMANews.TV
