Borgy in bar fight; foe hospitalized

Commercial model and television host Borgy Manotoc, son of Ilocos Norte Representative Imee Marcos, was involved in a fistfight on Tuesday early morning at a bar at The Fort in Taguig, sending his adversary to the hospital, radio station dzBB reported. Manotoc, who turned 24 on Monday, reportedly got into a fight with a certain Carlo Pardo de Tavera, said to be a grandson of former Social Welfare Secretary Mita Pardo de Tavera. Pardo De Tavera, 22, was taken to the Makati Medical Center and remained confined there as of posting time. DzBB reported that Pardo De Tavera’s mother, Mara, said the fight, which took place at the Embassy Bar, started after his son talked to Manotoc’s girlfriend, model Ornusa Cadness. No less than Southern Police District (SPD) head Chief Superintendent Roberto Rosales has ordered cops in Taguig and Makati to investigate the incident. It was at the same Taguig bar where Manotoc nearly figured in a fight in February with former professional basketball player Paul “Bong" Alvarez. Manotoc reportedly confronted Alvarez after the latter mistook the model’s girlfriend for a waitress. Manotoc is a grandson of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos. -GMANews.TV
