3 pyramiding suspects arrested in Jakarta - report

Three Filipinos wanted in the Philippines for alleged involvement in multi-level marketing (pyramiding) scams have been arrested in Jakarta, the Antara News agency reported Saturday.

The report identified the Filipinos as Joseph Luis Eleuterio Temacrus Bismark, Donna Marie Imson and Tagumpay Pablo Perez Kintanar.

Jakarta police picked them up at the Jakarta Convention Center where they were attending an international event. They were arrested with a Malaysian identified as Dato Vijayeswaran Vijaratnam, the report said.

They were said to be wanted in the Philippines, Malaysia and Hong Kong as suspects in fraudulent pyramiding scams.

Their arrest was reportedly made at the request of Interpol. The report quoted Jakarta Police Chief Inspector General Adang Firman as saying that the Filipinos would be turned over to the Philippine National Police.

The report said they would not undergo police investigation in Indonesia because there were no reports that they were engaged in the pyramiding business there. – GMANews.TV
