Lacuna, Bacani concede to Lim

Manila mayoral candidates Danilo Lacuna and 4th District Rep. Rodolfo Bacani conceded Tuesday to opposition candidate Alfredo Lim. Lacuna, incumbent vice mayor, was the first to concede to Lim who was running under the banner of Genuine Opposition (GO). In a statement sent to newsmen, Lacuna wished Lim good luck. “Congratulations and I wished him (Lim) to have a good governance…," said Lacuna in a text message. Meanwhile, Sen. Franklin Drilon issued a statement Tuesday saying that Bacani has conceded to Lim. “Liberal Party candidate for mayor in the city of Manila, Congressman Rodolfo Bacani, yesterday (Tuesday) conceded to the mayoral race to fellow Genuine Opposition (GO) Senator Alfredo Lim," the LP statement said. Lim thanked Bacani for his sportsmanship and support. The Comelec canvassing for Manila started Tuesday afternoon at the Ninoy Aquino Memorial Stadium. - GMANews.TV
