GO continues to clobber TU in latest Namfrel count
It’s back to 8-2-2 in favor of the genuine opposition in the latest tally (report No. 20) of operation quick count of the National Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) late Sunday evening. GO senatorial candidate Antonio Trillanes IV, who was ousted in the Magic 12 in report No. 19 came back strong with 3,453,958 votes to take the No. 11 spot. Team Unity (TU) bet Miguel Zubiri who managed to enter the winning circle in last two report found himself in the 13th slot in report 20 with 3,313,590 votes. GO’s Aquilino “Koko" Pimentel III occupied the 12th spot with 3,383,080 votes. A total of 69,490 votes separated Pimentel and Zubiri. In the latest count, Pimentel saw his lead over the 14th placer TU’s Ralph Recto increased to 131,201 votes. Loren Legarda (GO) maintained her hold in the No. 1 post with 5,633,410 votes, followed by Francis Escudero (GO) with 5,504,222 votes. Others making it in the top 12 included Panfilo Lacson (GO) 4,861,789; Manny Villar (GO) 4,607,874; Francis “Kiko" Pangilinan (Ind) 4,498,689; Noynoy Aquino (GO) 4,409,844; Edgardo Angara (TU) 4,018,899; Joker Arroyo (TU) 3,680,216; and Gringo Honasan (Ind) 3,672,038. - GMANews.TV
