NPA rebels attack police detachment in Isabela


A band of some 50 New People’s Army rebels stormed a police detachment in Dinapigue town in Isabela during a Tuesday afternoon raid, GMANews.TV learned. Isabela law enforcers lost eight long firearms to the attackers, specifically four M16 rifles, two M14 rifles and three shotguns. Colonel Tristan Kison, military chief information officer, said the suspects attacked the detachment at around 3 p.m. Tuesday and disarmed onduty police officers. No injuries were reported. Senior Supt. Samuel Pagdilao Jr, National Police spokesman, said he has yet to receive any order for the relief of the Dinapigue town police chief.-GMANews.TV
