Honasan takes oath at SC


Senator-elect Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan was sworn in Thursday morning at the Supreme Court in Manila, radio station dzBB reported. The oath-taking came the same day that the high court set for the hearing of the oral arguments on the petition filed by Genuine Opposition bet Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III. Pimentel is seeking a temporary restraining order against the Comelec's recanvass of Maguindanao votes. Honasan, who finished tenth in the last senatorial elections, arrived at the high court with his wife Jane and his lawyer Danilo Gutierrez, the report added. The Department of Justice recently dropped all charges against Honasan for his alleged involvement in the 2003 Oakwood Mutiny. - GMANews.TV
