Japanese national gunned down in Mandaue City


A Japanese national was gunned down early Wednesday morning by two unidentified gunmen in Mandaue City, police reports said. A report from the Mandaue City police said Taru Suda, of legal age, was gunned down at 12:45 a.m. outside the Genzon Compound at Sitio Uriel in Banilad village where he rents a housing unit. Initial investigation showed that the victim, who alighted from his Toyota Hi-Lux (YAH 463) service vehicle, was about to open the gate when fired upon by the assailants who were on board a motorcycle. At first, the victim was able to take cover at his vehicle but later on was felled by several shots from the gunmen. Recovered from the scene were nine empty shells of .45 caliber pistols. As of posting time, investigators were still determining the identities of the suspects as well as their motive for staging the attack. - GMANews.TV
