10 hurt as bus falls into creek in Pasay


A passenger bus on Friday fell into a creek along the Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard in Parañaque City, injuring at least 10 people, initial radio reports said. Radio station dzBB reported that the Mayamy Trans bus (plate PVN-112) rammed onto the road's center island then broke through a bridge railing near the Uniwide Coastal Mall shopping center. Victims were brought to the San Juan de Dios Hospital and the Pasay General Hospital in Pasay City. Half of bus was in about six-foot deep creek water before two cranes pulled it out. Radio station dzMM said the driver and the conductor fled the scene. Initial investigation showed that the bus' brakes malfunctioned. - GMANews.TV
