10 newly registered young voters die in truck-motorcycle crash in Calbayog

At least 10 youths were killed after a construction truck they were riding figured in a collision with a motorcycle in Calbayog City in Samar, radio DZBB reported Sunday night. According to the report, some 30 youths boarded the truck that was transporting them back to their homes after registering for the Sangguniang Kabataan elections this October. Five of the victims reportedly were reportedly killed on the spot and the rest died in hospital. Initial police report said the collision with the motorcycle in Peña village occurred while the truck was negotiating a sharp curve. - GMANews.TV
