No classes on Aug. 3 for college, HS students, for SK registration

President Arroyo on Wednesday declared August 3 a special, no-classes holiday for college and high school students.

The announcement was made in Malacanang which said that the holiday was meant to ensure that students of voting age are registered for the upcoming Sangguniang Kabataan election on October 9.

The Commission on Elections will accept applications for the SK election on August 4-5 in barangays and public schools nationwide. - GMANews.TV
