Camille Prats denies affair with Toni Gonzaga's beau

Young actress Camille Prats finally faced the public to clarify reports about her pregnancy and the father of her child. In a taped exclusive interview with GMA Network’s Showbiz Central aired Sunday, Camille confirmed she is heavy with the child of her boyfriend for three years Anthony Linsangan, 27. She also denied having an affair with director Paul Soriano. "Si Paul kasi is someone I met last year at a party kasi friend siya ng friend ko and it was nothing. It was just that," she said. She said Anthony is a family friend. "Magkakilala na kami way back grade school pa ako." The 22-year old actress said she saw in Anthony a real person who is unafraid to speak his mind. "Ang nagustuhan ko sa kanya he was very spontaneous. He was very real, hindi siya yung tipong sobrang conscious sa sasabihin niya. Hindi siya yung sasabihin sa'yo kung ano yung gusto mong marinig. He’s very natural at siguro sa mundo ng showbiz that’s something we all look for. Someone who’s very genuine, someone who’s very real," she said. For his part, Anthony said he loves Camille for her frankness, independence and her concern for her family. "Actually yung family nya, yung bonding nila, 'yun 'yung number 1 na nagustuhan ko. Nakita ko na pag nagkapamilya ako magkakasundo kami," he said. Camille denied she tried to hide her pregnancy by going abroad. She said her plan to study in America was scheduled long before she found out she was heavy with a child. "Hindi ko talaga inisip na itago I just wanted to find the right time in my own terms to come out and tell the people about my situation kasi una wala naman akong dapat ikahiya," she said. "It’s such a wonderful blessing, it’s a wonderful gift given to us by God and pangalawa lumaki ako sa industriyang ito, dito ako nagsimula, halos lahat ng pangarap ko natupad because of this industry and I think I owe it to the public, to those na sumusuporta sa akin ever since I was kid, yung mga nagmamahal sa akin, I think I owe them the truth about my life. It’s a blessing and I’m very proud of it and I don’t regret anything." However, she admitted she felt guilt because she knows she would hurt her family. "May guilt kasi I don’t want them to go through that, siyempre yung sakit and all that, 'yun 'yung hindi ko ginusto talaga. Dun ako medyo nahirapan kasi I know they don’t deserve that saka, pangalawa, ayoko na sisihin nila yung sarili nila na sila yung nagkamali or sila yung nagkulang kung bakit nangyari sa akin ito," she said. Camille thanked her family for supporting and not blaming her. "They never made me feel na kasalanan ko o sinisi nila ako sa nangyari. Ang unang reaction nila ay yung suporta..'yun 'yung binigay nila sa akin, walang sumbat, wala akong narinig anything na masakit, saan ba kami nagkamali, walang ganun, wala, wala talaga," she said. In a separate interview, Dondi Prats, Camille's father, said his daughter's condition shocked him but he never felt disappointed. "I couldn’t say it was a disappointment but actually it’s a shock but I know its coming. I know its coming because she’s already 22," he said. He said, as a father, his main concern is what would be Camille's life after she gave birth so he talked to Anthony on the latter's plan for her daughter. "Ang number 1 tanong ko sa kanya kung papaano niya bubuhayin yung anak ko kasi although hindi naman maluho si Camille siyempre I want the best life for my daughter. Sinabi naman niya na may pera siya, may bahay sa Alabang na pwede tumira si Camille...So yun nag-heart to heart talk na kami tinanong ko siya kung gaano niya kamahal si Camille, sabi niya mahal na mahal niya," he said. On the other hand, Wilma Galvante, GMA Network senior vice president for entertainment, assured Camille that several projects will be waiting for her when she decides to come back after delivering her baby. "Camille, alam ko na malaking responsibilidad 'tong haharapin mo pero para sa isang babae isa ito sa mahahalagang chapter sa buhay natin so harapin mo. Alam ko malakas ka. Alam ko kaya mo 'to. This is going to be something very, very challenging although fruitful for you and when you get back we are here, we are all behind you. We will have good projects for you when you’re ready," she said. - GMANews.TV
