Lolit Solis defiant, won’t retract Sam, Piolo story

Lolit Solis on Saturday apologized to matinee idols Sam Milby and Piolo Pascual but she declined to retract her story that she had seen the two in a Pasay City hotel. “Piolo at Sam, kilala ko lang kayo sa pangalan dahil hindi ko pa naman kayo nakasama kahit saang project, pero ito ang masasabi ko sa inyo - I’m very, very sorry na nasaktan kayo," she said. She added she did not expect that her story on the two men would be an explosive issue. Doon nagso-sorry ako," she said However, she said: “Hindi ko na mare-retract yung sinabi ko na nakita ko kayo. Dahil nakita ko kayo." Solis said it is easier for her to apologize if Sam and Piolo were hurt by her story but she cannot take back what she had written. Lolit said she regrets they put malice into her story. “Pero retraction I will never do that kasi yung ano ang nakita ko. She insisted she will have no guts to stand by her story if it were untrue. She said Sam and Piolo can do whatever legal action they would like to pursue. “May lawyer sila, may lawyer din naman ako e," Solis said. Solis received the demand letter from the counsels of Piolo and Sam only on Saturday while she was on Startalk. “Nauna pa ang radio, print. Meron na silang kopya (ng demand letter), wala pa akong kopya," she said. The letter, read on Startalk, has demanded from Lolit “a retraction of your malicious article as well as a public apology." “Within 10 days from your receipt of this letter, we shall be constrained to take whatever legal action is appropriate and necessary to protect the interest of our clients…correct what you have done and refrain from further inflicting injury to our client," the letter read.
