Traffic stalls Estrada visit to FPJ tomb - report

Traffic stalled the visit of pardoned former president Joseph Estrada to the tomb of bosom buddy Fernando Poe Jr. at the North Cemetery in Manila Wednesday evening. Radio dzBB reported that Estrada's camp sent word he would arrive at 8 p.m., even as Estrada's supporters continued to wait for their idol near Poe's tomb at the cemetery. Traffic started to get tight in various areas of Metro Manila as residents rushed to go home to their provinces to spend the All Saints' weekend. Estrada sent a flower arrangement that was placed near Poe's tomb. The former president's supporters stayed at the cemetery since afternoon after learning that their idol had decided to visit Poe's tomb a day before All Saints' Day. The Manila Police District (MPD) deployed teams to the area to secure Estrada, who sought additional security for his visit. Estrada has shunned media interviews after his release from six-and-a-half years of detention, saying he wants to spend time with his family for the moment. - GMANews.TV
