Fires hit Caloocan, Malabon; 10 houses, warehouse destroyed
At least 10 houses in Caloocan City and a warehouse in Malabon City went up in smoke in separate fires that hit northern Metro Manila Friday night and before dawn Saturday. Radio dzBB reported Saturday morning that 10 houses along 10th Avenue in Kampupot village in Caloocan City were destroyed in the fire that started past 6 p.m. Friday. The fire reached the fifth alarm before responding firefighters could place it under control. Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire. No one was reported injured in the fire. In Tenejeros in Malabon City, meanwhile, a fire hit a warehouse for spare parts of electric fans before dawn Saturday.
