Arroyo calls for emergency Cabinet meeting

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on Thursday called for an emergency Cabinet meeting in Malacañang, to discuss the government’s course of action in response to Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV’s call for the President to step down. Radio dzBB reported that President Arroyo called for the emergency meeting shortly after she was briefed by Presidential Security Group chief Romeo Prestoza inside a room at a public school in Laguna. Despite receiving news of the Trillanes’ walkout from the Makati City court along with Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim, President Arroyo appeared calm and was even waving and smiling to people gathered in the Laguna school. - GMANews.TV
