Lacson denies role, hopes for peaceful end to Makati crisis

Sen. Panfilo Lacson on Thursday said he is praying for a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Makati City, but also belied speculations he was in on their planned walkout and march. In a statement, Lacson said that while the issues raised by the soldiers and their supporters are valid, there will be questions raised about the method they employed. "While my sympathy will always remain with the soldiers in Manila Pen, I was not made part of their plan today so there is nothing much I can say except to pray that the crisis end up peacefully whichever way it is resolved," Lacson said.
